Council noted the 2023-24 Event Grants at its May Council meeting on Tuesday 24 May 2023. Twenty event organisers were successful in receiving funding under the Event Grants Program to a total value of $82,000. This year’s grant round was extremely competitive with total requests of over $141,000.

The 2024/2025 Event Grants Program is opens from 1-28 February 2024 for events delivered from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.
Council’s Event Grants and Sponsorship Program provides support to events that foster economic, community and/or cultural development, and prioritise positive environmental outcomes.
The program is available to not-for-profit and commercial event organisers that hold an event in the Surf Coast Shire, and offers four event funding streams:
