Deans Marsh Sheep Dog Trials

Come along and watch a three-day test of skill, training and the bond between handler and dog.

You will see some of the best in Australia working with sheep. It has been said a good dog is worth two workmen!

Many of the triallers have represented Australia in the Trans-Tasman trial against NZ, so you will see some top competitors with their wonderfully trained dogs over the 3 days.

The Novice event is for young dogs learning their paces or dogs that have not won in a Novice event, Improver is for dogs that have won a novice trial and are moving up the ranks. Open is for the top dogs.

8am to 5pm. Friday will be Open and Novice trials, in the evening there will be a Farmers Trial for people who are learning the art of dog trialling. Saturday includes Open and Improver, Sunday's schedule is Open and Finals.

Yummy local food will be available over the weekend. Gold coin donation on entrance. Come and enjoy a Deans Marsh welcome. Hope to see you there.
