Victorian Mixed Ultimate Championships

Ultimate frisbee is about inclusion, health, team work and ultimately – fun!!

Ultimate is a non-contact team sport played with a flying disc (Frisbee). It combines elements of netball, touch football, and grid-iron into a fast paced, athletic sport. It is unique because the sport is self-refereed - due to the 'Spirit of the Game', players are responsible for adhering to and overseeing the rules themselves.

Ultimate is played in over 100 countries worldwide, is a sport at the World Games, and has a strong presence in universities and high schools.

The Victorian Mixed Ultimate Championships is Victoria’s premier mixed gender Ultimate Frisbee tournament. The tournament serves as both a yearly state championship and Victorian qualifiers for the national event – the Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships - held in October.

The two-day event will occur at the Banyul-Warri Fields with an expected 300 players from 16 clubs around Victoria and Tasmania.  Both days will feature non-stop Ultimate action with multiple games running throughout the day from 9.00am – 4.00pm.

The grand final match, showcasing some of the best Ultimate players in the state, is expected to kick off from 2.30pm on the Sunday which you will not want to miss.

Banyul-Waari Fields and Quay Reserve, Torquay.
