50-Year Storm interview

In the lead-up to the Bells Beach 50 Year Storm in memory of local surfer Shaun Brooks, the Times News Group will be catching up with some invitees who will have the honour of surfing the biggest waves this winter.

Featured this week is inaugural Bells Beach 50-Year Storm winner Tim Stevenson.

During the interview, Stevenson talks about his love of surfing from a young age, his beloved Jan Juc Boardriders and how it felt paddling out in the maiden Bells Beach 50-Year Storm event in 2021.

Stevenson also provides mental health tips and advice for listeners and provides an insight into his debut in the Rip Curl Pro main draw in 2016, where he took on world champions Adriano De Souza and Italo Ferreira.
