Santa called ‘Christmastime in Torquay’ last night, and we asked are you coming this year? He said, “No worries. Of course, I’ll be down on Christmas Eve, and will also pop into town before then to check in on all of you. My elves are now working hard to get the sleigh and reindeer ready. All systems are GO for a fun-filled Christmastime in Torquay 2020.” Thank you, Santa and elves!
He did ask a special favour, if Christmastime in Torquay could get our distinguished town and coastline decorated up and spread some of our renowned bright cheer that is much needed around the globe. He says so many people really need this now.
We said, “Yes we will. We will make it extra special this year.” We love celebrating Christmastime, sharing our community excitement, brightly decorated homes, festive streets, beautiful ocean drives, fun beaches and towns, rivers, waterfalls and wildlife with everyone. Afterall, it’s a special time to give.
So, ‘Christmastime in Torquay’ 2020 is going global with a Virtual Festival Night sharing our pre-Christmas excitement, not only with our own neighbours, families and friends, but also with our families and friends around the globe.
The Christmastime Virtual Festival Night will be online to view on Friday December 18 @ 7.00 pm. Simply upload some of your photos or half-minute to 3-minute video recordings of what your Christmastime is looking like this year. Kids saying hello to Santa. Families wishing the town and the whole wide world Merry Christmas and a bright Happy New Year, or provide a video of your decorated house – inside and out! You can easily do any of these options through our website www.christmastimeintorquay.com . You can be a part of it and be Festival night stars! Fun for all!
We really encourage our community to get their families and friends across the globe to also join us wherever they are and also be stars in our Festival Night’s entertainment. We’ll be able to see each other, share experiences and send best wishes from everywhere. This way, we can all be here this Christmas and future ones too.
And as every year, our ‘Tis the Season to Give’ fundraiser continues this year for local charities. They’ll be listed on our Festival Night.
We’re in for a unique and wonderful Christmastime experience this year! Please join us!
