Roo Run

Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner, a weekend jogger, social walker or just starting out your running career, the Roo Run offers something for everyone.

Taking place on the clifftops and beaches of Anglesea at twilight, the Roo Run is one of the most scenic events on the Great Ocean Road.

From humble beginnings to a "bucket list" summer event, the Roo Run has grown up and this year celebrates its 10 Birthday. Family, fun and community is at the heart of this special event and the 10th anniversary edition promises to be bigger and better than ever.

With distances of 8kms and 4kms right down to a 1.6km Grommet Gallop, this event is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Run categories:
1.6 km Junior Grommet Gallop
1.6 km Janet Jones All Abilities Classic
4 km Friendly Jog
8 km Roo Run
For those wanting an extra challenge, there are also two additional categories:

2XRoo where you run the 4km and then have a ten-minute break before running the 8km

Surf & Turf  which is the combined 8km Roo Run and the Rock to Ramp swim

This a recreational run that is conducted by the Anglesea Motor Yacht Club and involves a number of community groups. It is a prelude to the annual Rock to Ramp swim (conducted by the Anglesea Surf Club).
