Give Where You Live Foundation and Kids+ will share in a record-breaking $290,010 raised during the 2024 Surf Coast Trek.
More than 1,000 people took part in the active fundraising challenge in April by walking the 26km or 40km course along the Surf Coast.
The event also featured a Welcome to Country, local music, activities and food stalls to support the two charity organisations.
GWYLF chief executive officer Bill Mithen said the funds will help create a fairer, more equitable community.
“Due to the increased cost of living, we’re seeing more and more individuals and families facing unemployment, homelessness, and struggling to put food on the table.
Kids+ marketing manager Sharon Gibbons was thrilled more support was on the way for babies, children and young adults with disability.
“We are proud to bring the Surf Coast Trek to life each year, championing community, inclusion, and pride in our beautiful Surf Coast, with this year being our biggest.
“Thank you to each and every person who donated, trekked, and supported us along the way.”
