The 60th running of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach will take place from April 4 – 14, 2023.

To assist with traffic management during the Rip Curl Pro, the following changed road traffic conditions will apply from Monday 3 April to Friday 14 April.

  • Bells Beach Road will become ONE WAY at the Wave Car Park, to Jarosite Road southwest of Southside. Access will not be available to Bells Beach via Jarosite Road/Southside while the changed traffic conditions are in place.
  • Residents and patrons travelling towards Bells Beach and not wishing to attend the Rip Curl Pro are recommended to turn right at the intersection of Bells Blvd and Bones Road.

Entry into Bells Beach Reserve will be restricted to fee paying patrons from 7am – 5pm during the event window. Patrons are requested to travel to the event along Bells Blvd from Great Ocean Road and exit along Jarosite Road directly to Great Ocean Road. Dogs will not be permitted on-site.

Please drive carefully and observe the changed speed restrictions along Great Ocean Road, Bells Beach Road and Jarosite Road.

We thank you for your understanding during this busy but exciting period for our region, and hope you enjoy the event!
