The flower chosen as mascot for the 2021 event, is the Hedge Wattle, Acacia paradoxa.
Unable to hold the annual Wildflower and Art Weekend due to Covid-19 restrictions, Angair has organised an online 2021 Nature Show.
Through the digital Nature Show, Angair aims to share and encourage you to enjoy and discover as much of our beautiful environment, its fauna and flora and local conservation efforts as is possible. An additional theme for this year is 'Protect' focusing on the many threatened habitats and species of flora and fauna in the area.
Everyone can enjoy the online Angair Nature Show, which will contain a raft of new material. This includes an exhibition in which local school students present creative works aimed at persuading people to protect the Surf Coast’s endangered and vulnerable plant and animal species.
Visit the digital show anytime from 9 September at www.angairnatureshow.org.au
Angair, established in 1969, is an active conservation group dedicated to the protection of indigenous flora and fauna and to maintaining the natural beauty of Anglesea and Aireys Inlet and their local environments.
The Wildflower & Art Weekend will be back to the Anglesea Community Precinct in McMillan Street next September 2022, when it is safe to hold the event.
For many reasons, events may be cancelled, postponed or details changed. Please check the individual event's official website or social media channels for the latest information.
