The Aireys Inlet Music Festival was a smash hit once again over the weekend, with over 30 musicians and artists taking the Surf Coast by storm.

Festival director Patrick Donovan said the festival was overall another great success with ticket sales up from last year and a wide variety of music on offer for locals and visitors to enjoy from Friday to Sunday.

“We were up 25 per cent on tickets this year compared to 2023, we sold over 2,000 tickets over the three days, which was helped by the perfect weather on offer.

“Walking around and interacting with the crowd, I definitely got the feeling it was a more personal sort of festival.”

Friday’s performance featured a range of “coastal music” performers, while Saturday exhibited some of the best local blues and rock bands on offer with Willy J and the bad Books providing a scintillating finish to the night.

Sunday set a new precedent for the festival with the event’s first international act taking the Aireys Pub stage.

Mr Donovan said it was a privilege to welcome Cambodian Space Project to the event, setting up Henry Wagons to conclude the festival with his upbeat country tunes.

While next year’s line-up remains unknown at this point, Mr Donovan says younger bands with a local connection will be a major focus for the event in 2025.
