Australia’s most spectacular cycling event, Amy’s Great Road Gran Fondo returns on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September 2023!
Catering to cyclists of all abilities, Amy’s Gran Fondo is the only cycling event held on a fully closed Great Ocean Road. Please see key event times & information below:

10.30am – 45km Gravel Fondo, Lorne
Sunday 10th September, 2023
7.30am – 122km Amy’s Gran Fondo Age Category, Lorne
7.50am – 122km Amy’s Gran Fondo Recreation Category, Lorne
9.30am – 14km Family Fondo, Lorne
11am – 45km Medio Fondo
The excitement continues for this year, with Amy’s event village (Lorne Foreshore Car Park) featuring plenty of action pre ride and post ride for the whole family! Citroën Australia will host a BMX Stunt Show and coaching, along with a finishers comfort zone including DJ Music, seating, and SIS electrolyte to hydrate. The event village will also feature event partner retailers including Fuel Performance (Bike Mechanic), GKA Sports, Velo Therapy, Ventou and more!

Amy’s Great Ocean Road Gran Fondo, is held in memory of Amy Gillett, and conducted by the Amy Gillett Foundation. Participants raise much-needed funds to help the Amy Gillett Foundation create a safe bike riding environment in Australia.
The Amy Gillett Foundation have been proudly working together with Santini to create the first TAC approved cycling jersey that aims to increase the visibility of bike riders from 2% to 90% whilst out on our Aussie roads. Participants can donate or fundraise $100 or more to receive a limited edition Citroen Amy’s Gran Fondo jersey, valued at $199!
Amy’s Gran Fondo is the safest event on the Australian cycling calendar and makes no apologies for the procedures that are in place to enable them to maintain this safety record.
8 Steps To Safe Riding:
1. Always follow the road rules
2. Ensure you can be seen by all road users – have lights on your bike & wear bright colour clothing
3. Maintain your bike
4. Indicate your intentions to other road users
5. Be ready to ride and use fuel to prevent fatigue
6. Always expect the unexpected – be alert & aware of your surroundings
7. Always wear your helmet – it’s Australian law!
8. Ensure you carry identification every time you ride.
