Electric feels….

The Surf Coast Events website and eNewsletter is the number one place to find out what’s happening on the Surf Coast.

From concerts, to markets and major sporting events, including the upcoming and iconic Rip Curl Pro, you can stay up to date year-round.

This month Surf Coast Events is partnering with Bair Bikes for your chance to win a Winki e-bike, a retro inspired, fat tyre, beach cruiser ideal for covering the hinterlands or coast.

Born on the Great Ocean Road, Bair Bikes is a local company manufacturing world-class, unique electric bikes.

Whether you’re taking on mountain trails, hitting the waves, or looking for a seamless commute to work, Bair Bikes has an e-bike for everyone.

Surf Coast Events is also kitting you out with a brand-new surf board rack, and a helmet by Thousand Helmets, whose goal is to save 1000 lives by creating helmets ‘you actually want to wear’.

Dave Tripp, Bair Bikes product manager, said they’re joining Surf Coast Events to spread the e-bike experience, and get you cruising around retro environmental-style.

“We’ve noticed an uptake of people on the Surf Coast wanting to find alternative modes of transport, while reducing their carbon footprint,” Dave said.

“What better way to do that than on a funky e-bike with the power to get you where you want to go with minimal effort.

“With the iconic Rip Curl Pro coming up, we thought what a great way to showcase the lifestyle and convenience e-bikes offer.

“Whether you’re riding waves, or our bikes, either way we know you’re having fun.”

The competition launched 25 March at Bells Beach in the Rip Curl Pro event village and is easy to enter. To win this amazing prize just:

  • Sign-up to the Surf Coast Events eNewsletter.
  • Follow Surf Coast Events and Bair Bikes on Facebook OR Instagram.
  • Tag someone you think would love to win an e-bike too.

Keep an eye out during the Rip Curl Pro, and throughout Bells Beach and the Surf Coast for QR codes promoting the competition, from 25 March until 11 April.

The Surf Coast Shire Council declared a Climate Emergency in 2019 and as part of their 10-year Climate Emergency Response Plan, they’re going electric, with their light fleet now a mix of electric, hybrid and petrol vehicles.

Reduce your carbon footprint and sign up for a chance to win. Join the electric movement today, for competition terms and conditions, head here.
